Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at St. Bede provides the liturgical music including musicians and cantors for all liturgies. This includes Sunday Masses, Funerals, Weddings and any other special event.  Dr. Anthony Lupica, our Director of Music handles all requests.

Music and song are ancient Catholic traditions at Mass and are beautiful forms of prayer to be shared as a faith community - the organist, the choir and the assembly joining together -  the organist provides the musical background, the choir and cantors leading in song, with the assembly participating.  All together singing joyous hymns of praise, prayer and thanksgiving.

St. Bede's Music Ministry consists of our traditional choir at the 11am Sunday Mass, a more contemporary band at the 9am Sunday Mass, our youth Mass with musicians and youth oriented music and cantor at the Sunday evening Mass, cantors and music appropriate to for other Masses, an organ or piano as most appriopriate, and additional instruments when needed.

Our volunteer choir not only sings at the 11 o'clock Mass on Sundays, the choir also gives a concert or two each year.  Every member will tell you that the time and effort it takes to be a part of the music ministry's choir is well worth every minute spent in practice and performing.  The choir members will also admit to developing a deeper spiritual connection to the Liturgy because of their participation in the Music Ministry.

Who Can Serve
