Magis/Ignatian Spirituality

"Lord teach me to be generous.  Teach me to serve you as you deserve; to give and not count the cost; to fight and not heed the wounds; to toil and not seek for rest; to labor and not ask for reward; except to know that I am doing your will."

Magis is the Christian Life Community at St. Bede the Venerable.  The larger organization, CLC, is an international association of men and wormen who desire to follow Jesus Christ more closely and work with Him to build a world of justice and peace.  A lay public institute with pontifical right, it works in close collaboration with the Society of Jesus and is animated by the spirituality of its founder, St. Ignatius Loyola.  Magis practices the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius and through their association with CLC bears witness to the human and Gospel values within the Church and the Society, in the concreteness of time and place where we live, which affects the dignity of the human person, the welfare of the family, and the integrity of creation.
